I thought this was a thread for to find stolen shit.

That might be a good idea, though.
I know that in the time I have lived in this area, I have came across instruments and equipment that were once owned or had been stolen or lost by friends, and aquaintances.
It would be cool if there were some way to network when something like that happens.

Kinda like an amber alert for our shitz.

jus' sayin.

Ya know if my V4 wasn't so fragile I would do just that. But mostly I'll be flossin' this with a chrome head and purple LEDs. Tasteless? Oh yeah!

Yup...but it depends on the cab and how it was made if it will be fine without tolex...you'd be surprised how much rigidity they give the cab

But yeah I can do that for sure
I could also stain it then put a top coat on it so there's a protective cover on the wood...like how a kitchen table has a laquer coat on top

Sure man, go ahead and smooth it out then do the red marine vinyl. We can do the King Diamond Purple tolex later. Hit me up on PM if I need to throw you some green 8)

I have had good luck with vinyl-spray paint. It holds up very well if your one that takes good care of your gear. This is a FENDER amp i did...Nobody can tell its painted. That type paint is pretty high, like 6 buks a can. But it covers and sicks very good.
You still have to take the Amp/Cab apart as with recovering, so its about the same amount of work and time. Covering is cool because you can take it off if you want later.

These pics are not great.
Heres a Cab I had that looked REAL bad..I had left over paint from the Fender, so i used it on the Grill of this Cab.
